Our chapter is planning a variety of activities, sessions, and events to take place during the 2012 FLAVA Conference. Contact President Debbie Sommer to share ideas or volunteer to lend a hand.
As arrangements are being made for the FLAVA 2012 Conference, check directly with FLAVA's website for information about the free, on-line workshops, the fall conference, and new initiatives.
The 2012 fall conference will be in Williamsburg this year, at the Crown Plaza Williamsburg at Fort Magruder. Mark your calendar for October 5-6 for another winning time with colleagues.
FLAVA is sponsoring a series of 2-hour workshops (4:00-6:00 pm) which you may attend either in person or on-line. These are free for anyone who wishes to attend. Two sessions remain:
January 19 (Teaching Language with (not through) Film)
March 15 (True Differentiated Instruction).
